Luminescent Atmospheric Phenomenon Over Cambridge
On Tuesday night near nine o clock Cambridge residents observed a very bright light in the western sky. It moved like a star, then descended toward the ground, fluctuating in brightness, and finally exploded near the race course after about an hour. Experts attributed the event to atmospheric phenomena known as ignus fatuus rather than a balloon or kite.
