M P Pastors Meet In Denton
The Delmarva Ministerial Association of the Methodist Protestant Church met in Denton last Monday with Rev Ira Dinkle as chair and Rev J Earle Cummings as secretary. Rev George J Hooker of Seaford led as president and Rev Edgar T Read spoke on First Century Christianity. Next meetings are planned in Greenwood and Georgetown, with a May Salisbury gathering led by Dr Leonard B Smith. A luncheon followed for visiting ministers and their wives.

Constable Shot In Federalsburg Arrest Feud Ends In Wounding
Constable Thomas L. Nichols was shot and barely wounded near Federalsburg while attempting to arrest John Hyrinko a 21 year old Austrian on a drunk and disorderly charge. Hyrinko fled across a bridge into a swamp dropping his pistol. Nichols recovered after hospital care and returned home. Three other youths were arrested for a disturbance, while Hyrinko faced charges including shooting with intent to kill carrying concealed weapons and assault and battery with bail set at 21000.
