Caroline County Library Opens in Denton February 24

The Caroline County Board of Library Trustees announces the Caroline County Public Library will open at County Headquarters 112 Market St Denton on Saturday February 24 from 1 to 4 PM. The library offers a two week loan period and a bookmobile will serve the county from about April 1 with routes to be advertised.

Williams Files For County Commissioner

John H. Williams of Federalsburg has filed for the office of County Commissioner in the Democratic Primary on May 15. Born in Caroline County, he attended Federalsburg and Preston Schools and Caroline High School in Denton. For 20 years he has sold milking equipment and dairy barn gear and has been a dairy equipment dealer for 25 years. He led local and regional farm and sporting groups, including 4-H and the Marshyhope Fish and Game Protective Association, and held offices in Farm Bureau and Dairy Herd Improvement. He also served on the Farm and Home Administration County Board, ASC supervisor, and active in Choptank Electric Cooperative.

Calvin D. Lynch announces the United Fund for Caroline County will hold its annual meeting on Thursday February 22 1962 at 8 p m in the Curt House.
