Christ Focused: Jesus Claim and God's Purpose
A February 14, 1954 lesson argues that God reveals himself in Jesus Christ who claimed to speak what God taught and to reflect God’s character. It asks whether Jesus’ deity is self-claimed and highlights his statements that his teachings came from the Father and that following him brings light, freeing truth, and life as God’s purpose for humanity.

Great Baltimore fire of 1904 echoed again
Twenty five years ago last Thursday a wisp of smoke rose from the John F. Hurst Company warehouse at Hopkins Place and German street. The blaze, sparked by a cigarette, rekindled memories of the 1904 disaster that destroyed 140 acres of the business district, left 1,300 buildings burned, and caused up to 150 million dollars in losses as winds fanned the flames through early evening, drawing help from nearby towns.
