Middletown and Dover remained unbeaten with two wins each, while Milford dropped to fourth after a 43 to 32 loss to Denton. Last Wednesday Harrington beat Felton 33 to 31 as Boughbey scored 8 and Eliason led Felton with 9. Chestertown then beat Smyrna 49 to 42 on Thursday, with Lion Yerkes scoring.

Edward R. Evans known as Ned Ross retires after 33 years with Eastern Shore Public Service Company and predecessors. He began as a fireman with Consumers Ice Company, rose to operating engineer in 1918, served at Jersey plant then the West Crisfield plant, with only a brief absence due to flu. Evans, 65 on November 11, attends Immanuel Methodist, is a Mason, resides on Laird Avenue, and plans to garden with Mrs Evans.

Dr John D Davis Ridgely Pharmacist Killed in Accident
Dr John D Davis a Ridgely druggist was struck and killed by a car driven by Carroll Bright of Denton Monday around 6 30 pm. Born December 9 1872 in Queen Annes county he married Ida Walters in 1897 to whom four children and several grandchildren survive with a widow Grace Walters of Brooklyn New York among other relatives. He lived in Ridgely since 1890 and held many local posts including fire company chief and town commissioner. Funeral at Ridgely Methodist Church Friday at 2 pm with Masonic rites at Greensboro cemetery.

Captain Rue Graduates From Meade Food Service School
Captain John W. Rue, 27, of Denton Maryland, completed a four week Mess Officer's Course at Fort Meade. A World War II veteran, Rue entered service in 1941 and earned the Bronze Star with Cluster among other honors. He and his wife Helen W. Rue reside in Denton.
