Taken A Captive To Babylon From Jeremiah 39
A historical sermon-like piece discusses Nebuchadnezzar's 605 BCE siege of Jerusalem and its brutal aftermath including famine, fires, and execution. It links Babylonian conquest to biblical prophecies by Ezekiel and Jeremiah, contrasts divine warning with human sin, and argues that reformatories require the Gospel to truly reform. It warns that prisons and punishments without spiritual renewal fail to prevent crime.
