Fourth Annual Delmarva Tour to Great Lakes Exposition

The fourth annual Delmarva Tour begins August 22 from Wilmington, traveling to the Great Lakes Exposition in Cleveland and a Detroit visit. The program includes Lake Erie boat trip, two days in Detroit, rail return August 26, and a special Pennsylvania Railroad train from Onley. Maryland motorists pay record gasoline tax in June

Maryland motorists paid 24,167,248 gallons of gasoline in June, generating 966,289.92 in state gasoline tax at 4c per gallon. This exceeds any prior month since 1927 and signals over 10 million dollars in state gasoline tax for the fiscal year. Including 241,572.48 from the 1-cent federal tax, June totals 1,207,862.40. The data imply motorists expect improved highway facilities.
