Governor Nice said a special Legislature session may be called for March 1 if unemployment worsens. The March 1 session would consider extending the gross receipts tax past March 31 and possible new revenue sources as federal relief winds down November 1. He noted the session could address any matters, not limited to unemployment relief.
Wholesale personnel changes in the District No. 2 staff of the State Roads Commission were announced by Ralph Townshend. Cecil county moves to the Fourth District with Towson HQ, and Kent Queen Anne s counties gain new county engineers Lewin Deputy Talbot Summers and Caroline Waldo f. Republican appointees replace Democrats as the commission tests its actions in Cecil County Court.
