Caroline TB and Health League report outlines 1962 work
In 1962 the Caroline County Tuberculosis and Health League sponsored monthly chest clinics at Denton, weekly X Ray clinics in Denton and Federalsburg, and a five day mobile unit that performed 1167 X Rays. The group distributed educational materials, organized a house to house drive with 60 volunteers, supported hospital gifts and research funds, and raised 3520.37 in the Christmas Seal Campaign, planning further activities for 1963.

The Woman's Club of Denton announces a spring fashion show for Wednesday April 24 at North Carolina High School. Swimming Registration To Be Open Till May 1st
Mrs. Warren Hopkins, acting water safety chairman for the Caroline County Red Cross, announced that registration forms for summer swimming classes have been sent to county schools. Parents must return forms by May 1 for their child to participate. the minimum age is seven. Forms for county residents attending other schools are available from the Caroline County Red Cross Chapter in Denton Maryland. Registration will close May 1.

Caroline County Budget Approved for School System
Caroline County Commissioners approved the new Caroline County Schools budget for the coming year. The plan calls for total expenditures of 1,985,260, a rise of 69,309 from last year, with teachers’ pay scale to 34,400 to 6,300 in 12 steps and 300 additional annually for masters. The board will meet Monday to set a 1963 tax levy, deadline last day of April. The state contributes 1,263,597. the county 705,773.
