An extensive mixed advertisement extols Saul’s Drug and Book House offerings for holidays. It touts a full stock of medicines, paints, oils, wall papers, window shades, books, stationery, and a photo studio, promising low prices, satisfaction, and a large inventory to draw shoppers.
Frederick A. Hermann ex director of the Hamilton County rescuer, recently convicted on six counts of signing false vouchers, was pardoned by the Governor on the recommendation of Cincinnati’s Committee of One Hundred. He remains in the county jail awaiting possible transfer to the penitentiary as his case hangs over electoral crime prosecutions.
