The death of Deputy Sheriff Ana Ly Hewren of Bear Dallas, Ohio, is announced. Born July 5, 1840, he came to McArthur Township with his parents in 1841 and married Rixtixoos Wanisty in May 1867. A respected Democrat, he served as Constable and Deputy Sheriff under Sheriff J. Brockry, was a Mason, and died after a long service to the county. His funeral at the PresbyterianChurch featured Masonic rites and interment at the Hothines Graveyard.
