Miss Alta Spray of Frankfort wed Charles Welday of Frankfort at the Methodist church Thursday. The bride is daughter of Mr and Mrs Edward Spray. she is a 1922 Frankfort High School graduate and worked as a bookkeeper at F A Crull. Welday, from Delphi High, is junior partner of Welday and Corns, Auburn and Duesenberg dealers. They will reside in Frankfort.
Shandeck, a farmer near Pyrmont, was killed Tuesday evening when a six-horse team ran away after he unhitched from a harrow. His feet tangled in the lines, he was dragged along a lane and struck a cement corn crib post, breaking his neck. He died before Ben Metsker found him. survived by a widow and five. Funeral held at church Friday at 2 p.m.
Carroll County Tuberculosis Association plans the Modern Health Crusade in schools for the coming year. The program promotes sleep, fresh air, nourishing food, cleanliness, weight and height checks, and dental hygiene. The group runs free clinic services with upcoming sessions in Burlington in October and Flora in December.
