The Howard Carroll Cass Clinton counties Eastern Star picnic will be at Riverside Park Logansport on Sunday September 20. Dinner is at 12:30 PM. Members of the county order are urged to attend.
The Presbyterian church Missionary Society was hosted Tuesday afternoon by the Misses Snoddy. Mrs. Dickinson led the devotional portion of the program and Mrs. J. H. Allen spoke on the Coming Generation.
The Woman's Club observes guest day next Wednesday at the library. Mrs Myra Stewart Gordon of Logansport will give an address. She is department chairman of public welfare. Refreshments will be served and members with flowers are asked to send them to the library.

Miss Mary Louise Haugh, former local girl now living in Knights Town Indiana, is one of 34 high school graduates named scholarship winners to the John Herron Art Institute Indianapolis for the coming year. Fifty four pupils from 36 counties competed. Haugh represented Henry county and is the daughter of the late Dr Charles Haugh of this city.
Dr. Frank Wagoner son of Mrs. Lina Horner of Tippecanoe County graduated from Rush Medical College in Chicago yesterday September 18. He is a Delphi High School alumnus from 1913 and will practice in Chicago. His Delphi friends extend hearty congratulations and praise the effort and outcome.
Floyd Thompson married Miss Maxine Cassidy of Inlis at Greenfield Indiana on April 5 1925. They will live with Floyds parents Mr and Mrs W Thompson in Delphi. Floyd has taken a position with H C Whitmer Co of Columbus Indiana. The couple are well known and respected in Delphi and Indianapolis.
Matt Allen of Burlington was arrested by Sheriff Riley Sink on Thursday for assault on three young girls. He cannot post bond and remains in the county jail.
