Three dirt smeared iron boxes linked to the $3 000 Antlers Hotel robbery were found by state road workers near Burlington and brought to Sheriff Bert Clifton. Boxes lay by a stream under a bridge and likely were tossed from the bandit car. Contents were damaged but helped trace the getaway direction. authorities then sent the boxes to Indianapolis via state patrolman Paul Rule.
