Miss Juanita Clawson from west of here spent the weekend with grandparents Mr and Mrs Charles Clawson. Mr and Mrs Oscar Maxwell of Frankfort were Sunday guests of Mr and Mrs M K Rohrabaugh.

John Byrum aged 89 died at his Ervin township Howard county home after six months illness. He was a prominent farmer in western Howard county with surviving sons Marvin Burlington township and William, two brothers Morton of Rockfield and William, two sisters, five grandchildren, and was buried after a funeral at the Howard Conservative Church.

Mrs George Jolly and granddaughter Nancy Porter of Chicago called in the afternoon. Mr Burns of Sunset Park and Mrs Arthur Ward and son Jack of Yeoman called in the evening.
The Hearty Welcome class of Oak Grove church was entertained Wednesday evening at the home of Russell, Fern and Pauline Jones south of Hopedale. A children's program is planned at Hickory Grove church Sunday evening June 24. Families of Hanna Casad Armstrong attended a dinner at Florence Armstrong's home.
