Veterans Enrollment In CCC Veterans Will Be Enrolled
A letter to Mrs. Charles Schnepp from the Carroll County Red Cross announces about 200 unemployed veterans will be enrolled in the Civilian Conservation Corps Veterans Contingent around July 11 1934 to replace losses and fill vacancies. Eligible veterans must be honorably discharged from wartime service and physically fit. Veterans discharged before April 1 1934 are ineligible for reenrollment. Interested veterans should request application forms from the Veterans Administration in Indianapolis.

Federal judge releases pair at South Bend
Two Camden youths Truman H. Cline and Lewis Penn plead guilty to counterfeiting slugs for slot machines and receive three year probation from Judge Thomas Slick in South Bend Federal District Court. Thirty three booths showcased local business and civic groups under the Chamber of Commerce auspices. Robert Gamble led the arrangements and prize drawings offered watches and poultry books. Officials vow to bring the event back next year as an annual affair.
