Fire Damages Camden Home Early Tuesday Morning
A fire of unknown origin severely damaged the Bedford stone home of Mr and Mrs Dallas Wilson in Camden early Tuesday. Firemen battled the blaze until 5 am after it started in an attached garage shorting a car horn waking the family. The car and a truck in the garage were moved to safety and undamaged.

Change in Feed Grain Program Allows Soybeans on Permitted Acres
Information from Carroll ASC Office announces growers may plant soybeans on their permitted acreage instead of corn and still receive price support payments if all program requirements are met. For a 40 acre corn base shifting 50 percent to soybeans, the farm could plant 20 acres soybeans and qualify for the 1966 price support. ASC Chairman Robert Reiff warns this does not authorize growing soybeans on diverted acres set aside with a cover crop.
