REMC Construction To Begin In March In Carroll County

REMC plans 30.6 miles of new lines in Carroll County with work slated to start by March 15. Hardin and Scott Contracting of New Albany estimate three weeks to finish Greenfield work before starting Carroll County expansion. McCarty to Stay as Carroll County Poor Farm Superintendent

Garland McCarty, longtime superintendent, says he will remain at the Carroll county poor farm until a court or official ruling voids his November 1939 contract calling for service through March 1, 1942. Carroll county primary bids begin as filing nears

Only three candidates have declared for Carroll county offices with 52 days left before filing ends. Roy Conrad announced at a Flora Lincoln Day event his bid for the Republican state senate nomination. Miss Gladys Williams of Warsaw becomes the bride of Hi Kerlin son of Mr and Mrs Cloid Kerlin of Delphi on Monday February 5 in Lexington Kentucky.
