Corn Hog Adjustment Contracts Surpass Three Hundred
Community committees have received over 300 corn hog adjustment contracts. Additional rulings enable more farms to contract to reduce production and qualify for benefit payments. Hog producers with an average of three litters or fewer may sign and receive payments if they plan to continue operating as in 1932 or 1933, while retiring producers are ineligible. Hogs move with the producer between farms and past production credits apply at 75 percent of the average annual past production.
Non Wheat Signers Eligible for 1934 Harvest Rules
Farmers who did not sign a wheat reduction contract or who sowed larger fall acreages in 1933 may join the program under the same rules as signers. They must not exceed harvest acreages from 1932 or 1933 and may replant wheat in fall 1934 up to the higher of those years. If winter killed, wheat acres may shift to feed crops. The worksheet tables define harvested acres, contracted fields, pig history, and farm sales records for proof.
Producers Commission Association Aids Livestock Sales Records
A letter from the Producers Commission Association of Indianapolis says ten workers prepare date sales receipts for all livestock for 32 and 33. In two years they processed 140000 sales, with duplicates kept in the county agent’s office to save time if sheep and beef cattle are added as basic commodities. Final contract sign up ends March 1 and township committees will announce sign up days in local papers. Radio tubes Herb Smith.

Baby chicks as investment and value over price
The piece argues that buyers should treat baby chicks like real estate or stock investments. It warns that small per chick price differences matter little, but overall value per dollar is crucial for prudent purchasing decisions.
Investing in Well Bred Chicks Becomes a Smart Purchase
The text argues high price does not guarantee quality and suggests buying well bred, disease free chicks at fair prices as a sound investment. Inferior chicks yield losses from day one, while strong stock promises better production and return.
