County Council Grants Close to Fifty Thousand in Special Session
In a special session on Monday the County Council approved about 49 775 in additional appropriations. Funds cover recorder and auditor supplies, circuit court books and equipment, jail repairs, election supplies, phones and records examination. Ditch funds were cut from 4200 to 2500 while 3000 for cattle TB testing was rejected and 32900 in gas tax funds were allocated or re allocated.

The principal of Owasco School was buried on Wednesday. The service drew family and local educators, with attendees from the town and neighboring communities paying respects to the late administrator.
Principal Norman Cors Dies After Illness
Norman F. Cors 34 principal of the Owasco school in Clay township died Sunday night at St. Elizabeth hospital after a five month illness and 10 days’ hospitalization. A native of Lafayette he starred in basketball track and football at Canterbury college and Jefferson high school class of 1943. He coached at several schools most recently in 1957 at Battle Ground. Survived by widow three daughters and a son. rites held Wednesday morning in Lafayette with burial there.

Hatton Boy Improves After Ill Hospital Stay
