The county coroner and a heart specialist concluded James Lowther died from an intracranial hemorrhage not the result of a blow. The 50 year old Delphi Ice employee collapsed during a fight with William Harrison over a dog. Harrison, 24, released after coroners inquest. Funeral planned at the Baptist church. Survivors include widow Minnie and five children.

William Plant aged 40 world war veteran died at the veterans hospital in Indianapolis after an illness linked to war service. He served with a heavy field artillery unit and had been in the hospital for 12 days. Hunter Bags Fox From Owrt Housetop
In rural Mursley England last week a fox fled into a fireside scene as the Whaddon Chase hounds closed in. The fox was killed behind a schoolmaster’s bookcase. In Carroll County Jefferson township 800 hunters chased foxes all day and bagged 5 foxes 2 hawks 1 owl and many rabbits. A farmer fired from his housetop and dragged the prize inside. Total receipts from the chase went to poor relief coffers totaling 18 dollars.

The Case Of Eugene McKay
Twelve year old Eugene McKay of Delphi recovered from an active tuberculosis case after treatment at Carroll County Tuberculosis Clinic and Rockville Sanitarium. His father died of tuberculosis in 1930 and his mother credits the free clinics and Christmas seals for the healing.

New State Road Route Through Delphi Outlined

Dr Frank Calvert a Lafayette heart specialist was performing an autopsy when a drunken driver crashed into the rear of his Plymouth coupe on Main Street near Grimm's undertaking establishment. The impact broke a wheel damaged the fender and rear area. A hub cap from a 1984 Chevrolet was found. Sheriff Arthur Anderson seeks the intoxicated driver and vehicle.
