Pilgrim Memorials and Plymouth Trip Reflections
The narrator visits Plymouth Massachusetts tracing Pilgrim history from Concord to Plymouth Rock and the Pilgrim Mother's Memorial. They praise the Pilgrim Mothers, note the DAR fountain costing 25000 dollars, and describe the Memorial’s sculpture by C P Jennewein. They contrast religious tolerance myths with colonial reality and recount seaside meals and views of Fall River and Newport.
