The Carroll County Farm Bureau met in the Court House Assembly room for its annual session. Officers elected: President E. E. Stephens. vice president George Thomas. secretary Mrs Mary Mason Kerlin. treasurer James A Shirk. Resolutions praised officers and endorsed Indiana Farm Bureau Federation while urging support for tuberculosis eradication, tax policy reforms, budget system, and the State Income Tax Law.

Mr and Mrs James P Wason entertained a group of friends at a Sunday evening buffet at their home in honor of Mr Charles Wood of Muncie a member of the executive committee of the State Tuberculosis Society He gave the principal address at a union meeting at the Christian church in support of the Christmas Seal Sale The dinner guests included city ministers their wives and several workers in the Seal Sale campaign
Friends gathered at Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rather residence Wednesday evening to bid farewell with a surprise party for the Rathers. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Orville Fife and others planning a winter trip to California.
A barrel of fruit and jellies will be sent to the State Soldiers' Home next Wednesday. The Ladies of the G. A. R. request the fruit to arrive at the Home by afternoon.

The Carroll County Board of Education elected Mrs Frank Shepard as county attendance officer for the year with a salary of $300. Funeral services were held from the home with burial in Ottawa Illinois.
A Sunday union service at the Christian church supported the Christmas Seal Sale sponsored by the Carroll County Tuberculosis Association. Charles Wood of Muncie spoke on TB prevention as a business investment in lives, with Ralph Orr singing and the Christian Choir performing.
Steps are being taken to install boulevard lights for Delphi's business district with plans developed to illuminate Washington Street from the Interurban to the Monon Railway and extend Main and Franklin streets one block east and west of the public square. The current lighting is considered as outdated as a teet at aise saatte on b modes farm.
The Junior class at Delphi High School presents Period a four act comedy on December 15 and 16. Cast includes John McGreevey as Mr Jones Margaret Schofield as Margaret Schofield Elizabeth Gardner and Paul Quinn as ed Schofield in principal roles.
Mr. and Mrs. Everet Mathieson visited with her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Todd. Mrs. Todd returned with them for a week's visit.
Mrs. Margaret Honan of Madison Township died at home after a brief illness, following a November 11 bunyan operation. Born September 19, 1856 in Carroll County, she married Daniel Honan in 1884 and raised six children. Surviving children Florence, Mary, Gertrude, Burton, and Harold live at home or nearby. Harold in Chicago. Funeral at St Joseph's church with burial in St Joseph's cemetery.
The Delphi Deer Creek Consolidated schools will close on the afternoon of December 24 for Christmas and reopen January 4. A Delphi Methodist church committee is examining church building needs and will present plans to the official board. The Carroll county Poultry show committee solicits ads for the catalogue. Will Heflong and Harry Roach join, replacing Charles Moore and the late John K. Kerlin. The Poultry show runs January 5 to 9 in Carroll County.
The W C T U tea hosted by Mrs Lauretta Gardner and Mrs Virgil Stinebaugh was postponed due to Miss Marjorie Stine baugh illness. A teachers dinner hosted by Supt and Mrs C T Amick and Mr and Mrs Stinebaugh on Thursday was cancelled for the same reason. Seventeen Delphi citizens filed a Public Service Commission petition for better light and power service lower rates and a Delphi Oakdale transmission line with hearing requested in Delphi led by Wm Brad shaw.
The Indiana Tribune, a Democratic paper, will debut on New Year’s Day with equipment being installed and a subscription campaign under way led by O. S. Baird the former attendance officer. The Delphi Citizen offers a clubbing deal for the new paper as it plans to expand its readership. Twenty five men visited Gillie Hoff at his home Wednesday where he lies seriously ill and husked his corn. A large amount of the crop was gathered. The following friends from out of town...

Miss Minerva Egan of Ottawa NL has applied and been accepted for the Carroll county nurse position. She plans to drive in and sign a contract, starting next Monday if arrangements are finalized. The nurse will assist with school health amid recent epidemics and scarlet fever cases prompting school closures.
Northampton Massachusetts swung to the Democrats as William M. Welsh defeated Republican Mayor William H. Feiker by 872 votes, sweeping his ticket. The party has controlled city politics for several years.
Lewis Grantham a Delphi resident died Friday afternoon after a two year illness at his home. He was born August 20 1861 on the Delphi area farm and lived there until 1912 when he moved to Delphi. He married Elizabeth Million in 1883 and leaves two sons Luther and Wilber, his wife, Grace, Lorine, Mary Catherine and one grandchild. An active farmer and church member he belonged to the R of P lodge and the Presbyterian church. Funeral services were held Sunday at his residence at 2 pm and burial followed in the Masonic cemetery.
