The 25 voice La fayette male chorus performed on the courthouse square amid carnival music, inviting recruits for weekly practice. The Delphi Leaguettes girls softball team schedule includes a car wash on Friday August 19 at 9 a.m. at the Court House Square, the Tri League Tournament August 20 21 at Bunker Hill with Delphi playing Sunday the 21st, an All Star game August 27 in Camden, and a Tri League picnic at Flora City Park. Twin Lakes Maintains Tax Rate for 1967 Schools
Twin Lakes schools propose expenditures of 1,527,150 for 1967 while keeping the tax rate at 2.94 dollars. The rate rests on an assessed valuation of 31,589,920 and is supported by a 278,440 rise in assessment, expected state funds, and reduced operating balance. The 2.94 dollars breaks down to 96 cents for the special fund 1.15 for tuition 2 cents for recreation and 80 cents for the cumulative building fund.

4 H Dress Revue Schedule Announced for State Fair
The Carroll County Extension Office released the schedule for the State 4 H Dress Revue at the State Fair. Entries include Separates and Dresses I on August 24, Coats and Suits August 25, and Formals August 26 with a fashion show each afternoon at 3 in the Farmers Building. About 15 girls per category advance to the final at the Coliseum on Saturday August 27 at 1 30 p.m.

Clarence Marocco, long familiar in Carroll County, takes the role of head instrumental music in Delphi Community Schools. He taught in Delphi from 1941 to 1946, then ran a Logansport music store before teaching part time at Camden and later full time for about 20 years. James W. Jeffries named instrumental music director in Delphi. A graduate of Indiana University, he holds BMus and BME degrees and has ties to the Marching Hundred and Phi Mu Alpha. He hails from Bedford and has 15 years studying music, teaching in Pioneer Regional School Corp this past year.

1967 Wheat Program Changes Announced

Sixteen properties in Carroll County were sold at public tax sale in Delphi. Several parcels in Deer Creek, Jefferson, Tippecanoe townships and Flora city changed hands with prices ranging from under ten dollars to about one hundred dollars plus back taxes and advertising fees.
