The Sesqui committee sold 125 of 200 tickets and served 129 meals at the kickoff banquet. A cash prize from Governor Branigin will go to the county assembling the largest archive of old documents. Citizens urged to donate diaries ledgers and other items dating back to 1923.

Sheriff reports three separate one car accidents this past week. Benjamin N Dunkin 40 of Bringhurst drove off a county road near Camden and rolled into a embankment landing on its wheels. Edward G Roe 21 of Jackson Heights New York lost control and struck a line post and fence on a Hart Meador farm. Horace Q Eakin 43 of Kokomo sustained a cut above the left eye after a crash on County Road 500 S near Flora and was blinded by oncoming headlights.

A man and wife, Anthony F. Sizmadja and his wife, were arrested in Elkhart and jailed in Goshen after confessing to the Brouillette Jewelry robbery in December 23. State Detective Dale Douglass says she also admitted involvement in robberies at Lebanon Remington Kentland and Nieman. Arraignment date not set. sentencing expected in Elkhart County Court.

Delphi Man 66 Dies In Traffic Crash At Indianapolis Junction
Jerry Albert Harner 24 of route 2 Delphi died after a crash at the south junction of Indiana 29 and 18. He was hit by another car while lying in the road following his own wreck. Harner died about midnight Saturday and was the first Carroll County traffic fatality of 1966. He had been employed by Globe Valve Corp after leaving the Marine Corps. Burial was in Delphi Odd Fellows Cemetery with American Legion rites.
