Dancers Face Year-Long Shutdown as Tinicum Bar Loses License
MEDIA COURTHOUSE The go go dancers at Lou Turk s in Tinicum will quit for a year as the bar loses its liquor license. Judge Joseph Battle refused a delay, revoking the license amid charges of nude dancing and numerous forms of contact between patrons and entertainers. The bar had repeatedly allowed lewd entertainment despite citations dating back to 1982. The owner s attorney argued for a stay during appeal, but Battle found no reasonable chance of success on appeal and noted the 1987 change clarifying appeals do not stay suspensions.
