Fire damages first grade room at Westbrook Park School
A Sunday fire at Westbrook Park Elementary in Upper Darby damaged a ground level first grade room after juveniles playing with fireworks lit a fire near the old kindergarten wing. Fire officials say the blaze was confined, extinguished by 6:53 p.m., with no major structural damage and classes to continue. Two youths, ages 12 and 13, were taken into custody for questioning as investigators pursue the exact cause.
