Final Rites for Mrs Elizabeth Edwards Held at Home
Last rites for Elizabeth Reynolds Edwards 94 were held Saturday at her granddaughter Pattie Jo Hamilton’s home in Del Rio. The Rev. Roland Murray and Rev. L C Beasley officiated. Interment followed at Westlawn Cemetery. She died Friday afternoon after a long illness. Surviving are her son A G Edwards granddaughter Pattie Jo Hamilton and great grandson Hal A Hamilton Jr plus a brother nieces and a nephew. Pallbearers listed.

Funeral Rites For Veteran To Be Held At 6 Today
Funeral services for Jonn W Whittington killed on June 17 in a shooting affray four miles east of Del Rio will be held by the American Legion at Westlawn Cemetery today at 6 o'clock. Rev. L B Gilbert will conduct the service at the grave. Whittington died of a gunshot wound in the mouth and was found behind the car returning from Brackettville with a pistol between his knees. The shooting also claimed the lives of his former wife Ysabel Hernandez Whittington and taxi driver Jesus Barragon who took the couple to Brackettville.

Comstock Boy Shotself Cleaning Gun Incident
Guy Smith aged 12, son of Mr and Mrs Richard Smith of Comstock, accidentally shot himself Friday afternoon while cleaning a gun. The bullet passed through the flesh of his left side and arm. He was not seriously injured and treated at Williams Sanitarium before being sent home Saturday.
