The elder Hutto is described as an ex convict.
President Roosevelt told reporters that there is no question the court reorganization bill will pass this session. He dodged questions on compromise but noted Senator Robinson’s statement that amendments may be offered when the bill reaches the floor. Senator Burke of Nebraska opposes any compromise.
Prowlers entered the residence of Mr and Mrs E Wilson at 606 East Losella Street Wednesday night and stole an undetermined number of items including graduation presents for their daughter Annie Wilson.

Lampasas wool buyers report handling 2,000,000 pounds of spring clip at 30 to 35 cents per pound. About half contracted earlier, nearly $500,000 has been distributed to local growers this year, with about a month left in the season.

Manila June 4 A sailor Albert Gentner of Mannheim Germany died from burns after a fire and explosion aboard the German motorship Oliva. Four badly burned companions were brought to Manila by a rescue ship as Oliva steamed toward port under escort of the German steamer Friderun. Gentner was buried at sea last midnight.
Berlin reports the 21 year old Jewish US citizen by grandfather's naturalization, Helmuth Hirsch, was guillotined at dawn Friday for an alleged explosives law treason plot. He was sentenced March 20 after four clemency pleas by the US ambassador failed. Hirsch had never visited the United States.
A wildcat well, Dan Auld et al No 1 Rigsby, Northeastern Edwards County, 15 miles northeast of Rocksprings, shows oil from 3920 to 3922 feet with no gas or water. Debris clearing work began with Humble Pipe Line Co crews and volunteers. The post office Baptist Church and hotel suffered damage as 5 to 6 inches of rain fell in 90 minutes. Del Rio and surrounding locales saw scattered rainfall with totals from .25 to 3 inches in nearby ranches, boosting pasture conditions after May rains.
Secretary Roper warned of a depression risk from an abrupt letdown after heavy armament buying. He cautioned the danger to business planning from inflationary reductions and rapid war-ready spending, noting a temporary surge may fade but a summer of moderate activity is expected barring new shocks.
