Pinafore and other attractions drew a large, enthusiastic audience at the Chautauqua tent. Gilbert and Sullivan’s operetta impressed, with several former Mikado artists. Tonight features Nothing But the Truth, a witty comedy by a capable company.
Clerk Crerp pernum arrived this morning and began processing applications for the Victory Medal at the post office. By afternoon four had filed, and the clerk believed all discharged soldiers would have trade applications completed before his departure. Plans for Sailor's and Marine's medals have not been announced yet, but are expected soon.
Soren son, now settling into the former Pritchard Tickerman building, plans to finish moving by tonight. The new site will serve as the Orne Shop showroom for the Lexington car, handled by Mr Sorenson and Mr Hall. A new front will be installed and the premises expected to open in two weeks.

A large blaze in Sycamore destroyed Abe Levin's warehouse in the northwest part of town, formerly an ice house used as a storehouse for baled papers tires and other goods. The threshing season is nearly finished in most of the county with few counties still active. Farmers report fall crops as good as last year despite a long drought.
