Mrs May Wood Gus Olsten and John C Olsten attended the funeral of their sister Mrs John R Haughton a prominent philanthropist in South Bend. She died Monday night at 9 30 from pneumonia at her daughter's home after six months illness aged 60. Survived by her husband John R Haughton three daughters five sisters and three brothers. Private funeral held at the daughter’s home with Dr James Gardiner officiating burial Riverview cemetery.

Mrs Annie Ashelford of 819 DeKalb avenue died Wednesday noon at Sycamore hospital after seven months as a patient. Born November 6 1863 in South Grove township she lived in Sycamore all her life. Husband Abraham died September 30, 1913, leaving seven children Francis Olive May Grover Alt May Lida Mabel and Harold. Madison Oct. 8 Frank Kluzen fourteen year old was arrested for the maniacal murder of Janet Lawrence twelve and taken to the county jail in Morristown for safekeeping. He denies stabbing the girl twenty five times with a pocket knife and hiding her body behind a log in Kluzen woods. Authorities withheld details leading to the arrest.
