Washington March 8 Francisco Villa is on the warpath in Chihuahua according to official dispatches. On March 4 he captured a train near Chihuahua City kidnapped American engineer Joseph Williams and threatened more attacks. Williams held for ransom. An assault by 150 armed men under Villa’s direction derailed the engine and killed about half the train guard. Americans R. W Flack and Robert Peltier were robbed. Two conductors were executed, a jan was hanged, and five Mexicans shot. Williams carried off for ransom.
