The city reports over 150 complaints on gas service with more expected as hearings approach. Manager Tippy asserts the worst is over and promises ample, second quality gas while plans to improve the plant continue. the city will pursue permanent better conditions.
Glen Reynolds, already manager of the Princess Theatre, now also helms the Armory Hall. The Mirldine will host dances skating and amusements with vaudeville to come. Mrs Reynolds will continue running the Princess, keeping it modern and active.
War Savings stamps detailed with price maturities and purchase rules. DeKalb township must raise 40000 by Jan 1 1919 to go over the top. Local Red Cross leaders and ward chairmen named for a Christmas Roll Call membership drive and meeting at the city hall.

Wilford Reed has recovered at home after illness. Rene Alden Wiltberger is promoted to first class sergeant and trains at Fort Sheridan. Several locally known men, including Archie Countryman and Leonard Anderson, were reported wounded at Great Lakes region and expect discharge soon.

George Harriell, a young man from a farming community working near DeKalb, was found dead this noon at the home of Mrs. Joe Wood on South Seventh street.
