President elect Warren G Harding addressed the Senate as a member marking an historic precedent. He urged cooperation between branches and urged the three remaining Wilson era months to be fruitful, noting respect for the Senate and its duties. Lodge escorted Harding into the capitol as crowds cheered.
Mrs Warren G Harding to take tea with Mrs Woodrow Wilson at the White House at five thirty today in Washington. Mrs Wilson extended the invitation this morning and Mrs Harding accepted the cordial social event. Chronicle want ads bring results.
The Supreme Court ordered dissolution of the Lehigh Valley coal combine for violating the anti trust act. Justice Clark announced the decision. the ruling marked a federal victory as the arrangement breached interstate commerce and commodities clauses. The decree splits the Lehigh Valley Railroad Company, Lehigh Valley Coal Company, Lehigh Valley Coal Sales Company, Cox Brothers and Company, and Delaware Tulsswanna Railroad Company into separate units.
W H Crawford arrested after he fired a revolver while drunk on Ninth street about nine pm. A nearby pedestrian reclaimed the weapon, alerted others, and police detained Crawford for the night awaiting a hearing. No injuries reported and charges not yet specified.
Robert Brannick of Sycamore faced a near miss while crossing the Chicago Milwaukee and Gary tracks on his way home. Slippery rails caused his car to skid into a ditch after rear wheels lodged in a rut but he was not injured due to a moderate speed. Franz Johnson stopped and pulled the car from the ditch enabling it to proceed.
The North Star organization met in Moline Michigan with director Frank Swanstrom in attendance. Officials expected routine business and the report by Swanstrom upon his return was awaited by local residents interested in the society.
Tomorrow evening is the regular meeting for the city council. The agenda includes the usual monthly bills for approval. Despite plans for adjournment, the council has not decided to delay and will consider all business tomorrow.

Judge Irwin presided in circuit court as Burr & Taylor of Minneapolis lost their suit against W. H. Ashelford over 100 barrels of flour. Ashelford proved cooperation with a salesman to sell the extra barrels and the plaintiffs were paid promptly. The jury returned a verdict for Ashelford.
United Press reports in Geneva and Berlin that Argentina withdrew from the League of Nations assembly, prompting unanimous referal of amendments to a commission. The move followed attempts by Canada to strike or amend Article 19, seen as a step toward dissolution and sparking talk of a Pan American league.
The American Steel and Wire Company bowling teams face off on Ballou and Olsen alleys tomorrow evening. The accounting department meets the north plant, the superintendent's team plays the wire mill, and the machine shop five challenges the shipping department. All teams are evenly matched and expected to produce a strong showing.
State College agriculture engineers advise tractor owners to winterize. House the machine in a warm space if possible, drain water from radiator and cooling system, run engine briefly to purge water, drain and dry carburetor, remove and store the battery away from freezing, order needed repairs now, grease and inspect bearings, and treat the tractor with the same care given to horses.

Proceeds fund scouts equipment and program work as expenses are covered by the Apollo company.
A 2000-strong mob in Santa Rosa and nearby areas, angered by alleged jail detainees, was repulsed by officers after two breach attempts. Authorities believe three prisoners they sought are safe, one said to have confessed to shooting Sheriff Petray of Sonoma County.
