Little Girl at Sycamore Dies After Eye Infection
Alice McCartney eleven, daughter of Mr and Mrs RM McCartney, died yesterday from an eye infection that led to blood poisoning. Her father managed the McAllister store in the county seat. Despite treatment the head swelled and she became barely recognizable. Funeral services were held this morning and the remains sent to Ottumwa, Iowa, for burial.
