Two Week Vacation Trip Ends In Collision Near Grant Park
A DeKalb couple, Mr and Mrs Herbert Harriss, return home bruised after a Saturday crash near Grant Park when a Chicago Heights car crossed the curve. Their daughter Neal Harriss suffered a fractured ankle, and the Harriss car was demolished. The Chicago Heights occupants, including Mrs McAlmont and her children, were badly hurt and transported to a hospital. The other car’s occupants faced serious injuries. The Oldsmobile was wrecked and returned to DeKalb last night.

Body of Purdue President Found After Alpine Trip
Winnipeg reports the body of Dr. W. B. Stone president of Purdue University has been found in Banff Alberta after a mountain expedition with his wife and companions. Mrs Stone survived after days lost and unconsciousness until rescue.

E. R. Taylor a longtime Rochelle resident died this morning after a long illness. He was about 55 and had lived in Rochelle most of his life. Survived by two sisters Mrs. Edgar B. Still DeKalb and Mrs. William Sherman Maywood and a brother E. W. Taylor Rochelle. Funeral arrangements had not been announced by noon.

Police from Rockford stopped in De Kalb last night and detained two men who had stolen a Nash car in Rockford earlier last week. They were tracked to Hammond Indiana where Rockford camp officers pursued and captured them.

Cars collide at Eighth and Prospect injuring ice cream wagon driver
Charles Northrup and Carl Anderson drove together at Eighth and Prospect. A Peerless ice cream wagon was smashed and its driver cut by flying glass. The ice cream wagon operator, a rookie, was not seriously injured. Both cars suffered damage. Northrup’s friends say he may sell his car after further accidents.
