Lafayette Indiana November 22 The Chase case will not go to trial as insanity proceedings are dismissed after a brief hearing. The court found the defendant sound mind despite objections from the defense. The estate exceeds half a million dollars and no reconciliation statements have been issued by any party.
Co T Hatfield recalls a severe la grippe outbreak in Winona Stark County Indiana. He and six family members used six bottles of Peruna per directions and recovered faster than neighbors treated by doctors. He notes many died during the epidemic and invites a free copy of Winter Catarrh with Dr Hartman’s lecture.
P. J. Sarlin & Co on public works for the navy academy at Annapolis was fined 8100 and 810 for violating the eight hour work rule. The indictment charged demanding longer hours and permitting over time. In Baltimore another report notes the Queens town renamed Manchester Enterprise foundered at sea with all crew saved. Mrs. Ben G. Humphreys, longtime president of the Mississippi chapter of the Daughters of the Confederacy, died at her Greenwood home. She was 73 and widow of former Mississippi governor Ben G. Humphreys, a Civil War veteran.

One notes Moor River wounds to three privates, while the other from Mafeking details losses and enemy activity with continued shelling and no outside news since Oct. 20.
