Wabash Railroad Abandonment Rumors Upheld by Toledo Press
The Toledo Press notes Ohio Supreme Court’s $600,000 verdict against the Wabash may not be enforced soon. If the Ohio line is abandoned it would take years. Prior claims could total up to ten million dollars, affecting equipment bonds. A master commissioner in Indianapolis is compiling those claims, with a likely month or two for results. The process may take two to three years, possibly longer due to lengthy litigation.
