Defiance High School Commencement Highlights Class of 1902

The Defiance High School graduation exercises were held at the Citizens Opera House. The ceremony featured essays and orations by graduates such as Glenna Morris, Bertha Bailey, Ida Kirchhner, and Zora Hall, with diplomas awarded by M. B. Gorman and Rev. A. B. Murphy. Laying Corner Stone Sunday at St Michaels Parish

A large crowd attended the corner stone laying for the new Catholic church at St Michaels North Ridge Adams township. Father Puetz of Napoleon spoke with Monsignor Thorp of Cleveland representing the bishop. A $500 collection was taken. Attendees from the city included Geo T Farrell Eddie Murphy and Frank Sommers.

Knights Hold Election at Branch No 2 C E of C

Branch No 2 C E of C elected officers Sunday at St Johns hall led by Spiritual Director Rev J P Gloden.
