Fraud Alleged in Williams County Insurance Case
Final arguments were heard in Bryan in the common pleas court in the case of the receiver of the Farmer's Mutual Live Stock Protective Association against its directors and officers. About 4,000 policies totaling $300,000 are in force, with alleged misappropriation of around $40,000. The suit alleges biased compensation, nepotism in general agency appointments, and an endless chain scheme to sell insurance, affecting many Defiant county residents.
