Fire at Looker's place near B and O depot
Fire department responded about 4 30 am to Looker's store house near the B and O depot. Box 27 was pulled after response. Fire damaged the store house, losses about 150 dollars. Looker suspects possible entry and arson due to a stove in the building.

Franchise Granted to Toledo Napoleon and De fiance Railroad
County commissioners grant a 25 year franchise to the Toledo Napoleon and Debiance railroad company. Work must start by May 1 1901 and finish by July 1 1902. Cars to be electric or non steam with guards at intersections and year round operation. Fares set at two cents per mile for long trips and five cents for short runs with children under six free and ages six to ten half fare. Previous refusal overridden after concessions by both sides.
