Governor Herrick continued work late into Saturday approving nearly a hundred measures passed by the Legislature. Key acts include theater curtain requirements, police and fire pension maintenance, court stenographer appointments, art grounds, street cleaning charges against property owners, stream pollution safeguards, and detention of inmates at the Girls' Industrial Home. The school code compromise creates elastic boards for major cities and a five-at-large board for villages and districts. The Harris canal law provides funding for canal work. Minor laws raise judges’ salaries, license regulation, a state tuberculosis sanatorium, race track pool selling, updated game seasons, water pollution investigations, National Guard harmony with militia laws, and tax relief for corporations. Local notices list residents and new appointments.
