Death of John E. Dey Warren County Leader Passes Away
John E. Dey oldest Warren County citizen died at his Lebanon home September 8 in his ninety ninth year. Born in New Jersey in 1791 he moved to Lebanon in 1818 and later built houses and cotton gins in the South. He ran plow manufacturing from 1825 to 1845 and lived retired at his large Lebanon residence with his wife, who died in 1878. He leaves a large estate and was father of the late Calley renowned in the county.
