Death in North Defiance Over Morphine Overdose
James W. Jarvis of North Defiance died at home Sunday evening from morphine overdose. He informed friends after a nap that he had taken 25 cents worth of morphine, died despite Dr Babbitt efforts. Aged about 60, born in Scotland, emigrated 1852. Wife survives, no children. Funeral held Monday at 2 PM at his residence with Rev B W Slagle officiating.

Mrs Malora Gillett Ensign, born May 16 1816 in Westerfield Connecticut, died at her son Henry's home in Defiance Ohio last Wednesday evening. She married F O Ensign in 1835 and moved to Defiance in 1862. Survived by sons O F F H T O Ensign, funeral held at home Saturday with Rev A L Jordan officiating.
