Hicksville hosts a bustling fair with strong crowds and abundant displays. Local merchants advertise hardware and farm supplies while residents from Defiance, Napoleon, and Findlay visit and report on events, weather, church services, and reunions across the region.

Defiance College reorganized under new management presents a first class school for both sexes.
