W E Travis family moves on Holgate. Daisy Hooker combination draws weak houses. Findlay notes a warm wave coming and the city prepares. many locals, including Dr E L Wiers and J W Cuff, attend lectures and dedications. Odd Fellows dedicate new lodge rooms amid rain and cheers.
Defiance county Pomona Grange will meet on Wednesday October 31 at Noble Grange No 595 hall. Grange opens at 10 a m. W A ParRTER secretary.

Mr John R Fenstermaker of Baltimore Maryland wed Miss Mary Casto at the residence of the brides parents in Wiltshire Ohio. The ceremony was performed by Rev H Boyar with the couple later expected to reside in Maryland.
Neidhart and Schondel, Germans, argued over money on a Wednesday afternoon last August. A knife wound to Schondel near the jugular nearly killed him. both sides offer different accounts. Schondel lay in critical condition for days before recovering. Neidhart, bound over to the Common Pleas in $50, was arrested by Constable Seibert.
Edward Jones, a farmer about four and a half miles west of Defiance on the Hicksville pike, accidentally discharged his gun while resting it on a fallen tree. The load lodged in his shoulder blade causing a serious wound and possible collar bone injury. He received further medical treatment as his condition remains precarious.
Miss Carrie Boutell returned to Ada last Monday to resume school. J Adams attended the 21st O V V I reunion in Columbus Grove last Thursday. Miss Libbie Phillips of Defiance township visits the neighborhood. John Lengel moved to the Worthington farm and Mr Worthington heads south. Mr and Mrs Vance were at Sherwood for a church meeting. Adda and Sadie Adams visit North Baltimore and Findlay. Ayersville school starts next Monday. some township schools have not secured winter term teachers. A C Henry makes major improvements to his slaughter shop.
Snow flies last Sunday and crops start well as wheat shows strength. Corn husking nears while John Bodenbender’s house is being plastered. Frank Dicler loses a fine horse. Wm Link and Hattie Kleinhein wed on the nineteenth. cabbage is sown for winter. Prohibition workers at the Corners oppose beer at Christian expense. Carpenters on Charley Block’s house report straw scarcity. Maidens sixteen lament frost bitten green banks. appearances suggest many bangs.
From Our Own Correspondent notes Crab Apple persists beneath community events. A new hoop pole shop opens in the Burg guided by Miss Eva Wimplinger for Mrs. Fletcher. Rev Bowers preached his first sermon here last Sunday amid orderly church doors. A local hunter, Mr Jones, accidentally shot himself nearby.
From Our Own Correspondent Hicksville notes show strong apple demand, coopers behind on orders, and town growth after the B and O railroad. Local visitors, school and singing efforts, and a Columbus Grove reunion are mentioned along with promotional Hop Bitters cures and health boasts.
Weekly prices from Wilhelm and Son list wheat at 1.00 per bushel, oats 30c, corn 55c, self flour 5.80 per sack and 6.20 per barrel, with various chops, meal, seeds, and byproducts. Provision items include chickens 6-7c, eggs 20c a dozen, butter 10c, lard 10c, dressed hogs 6.00, and canned or dried goods with listed per unit costs.
Quite cold last Saturday for once. Miss Emma Arnsberger will teach the Donalson school this winter. Traveling chair peddlers came from Defiance last Saturday en route to North Creek. Town lads went home without hickory nuts. The grocery at Wisterman is owned by E R Eastman. The southbound passenger train leaves at 9:30 a.m. Rev J W Hickman will lecture at Sharon next Sunday evening. Our absence last week left items scarce. Next week we will try to do better.

A Fifth Avenue Comedy Company production of Only a Miner s Daughter arrives next Wednesday Oct 31 at the Grand Opera House. The Syracuse Courier notes the strong cast led by Miss Emma Hendricks as Rosalie and praises the performance the previous night with a large attentive audience and solid support. Tickets are available at Bechel s.

Advertisement notes Wells' Rough on Corns 15e as a quick complete permanent cure for corns warts and bunions. Mentions a simple topical remedy marketed to readers seeking fast relief from foot pains and foot ailments.
Sufferer testimonials claim Ely's Cream Balm cured longstanding catarrh and hay fever. Notes from Charlotte Parker and Albert A. Perry praise lasting relief after limited use. Price listed at 50 cents. Local ads promote F Krotz, Flager and Watkins groceries and new lamp stock in Krotz block.
