Kiln work continues with D E Welker burning tile and brick last Friday. Household news mentions visits and farm improvements including a new wind pump at Christ Vollmer’s place. John Cole and family from Hilton and Spencer Cole from Schoolcraft Michigan visited last Tuesday. The Cole family carriage horse died en route from the fair, aged 30.
