John Price and Exiza M Wilder tied the knot in Defiance on Monday November 1883, with Rev B W Slagle officiating. The couple is listed as Mr and Mrs Wilder of Farmers, Oklahoma Heights.

From Our Own Correspondent Mr Clark of Ayersville attended Sharon last Sunday with a well attended lecture noted as a success. An entertainment is planned at Highland Chapel next Friday by Miss Ella Moore with 15 cents admission to fund an organ. Frank Boyd returns from Lucas County fr iend visit. Married A A Boyd and Jennie Parker wed two weeks ago. W ilcox Ranes and W B Sanford are building three houses in town.
Regular monthly meeting notes include reports from Solicitor and Clerk on Health bills, city property records, lamp post issue at Crosby house, alley complaint near B&O depot, monthly fire department condition report, October mayor’s report filed, $51 collections, licenses ordinances passed, line between Spangler and city property referred to engineers, claims totaling 3289.23 paid, sidewalk orders on Wa bash avenue and Pearl street, notice to Mr Otto to build sidewalks, special committee for fire team, Belden Burner Co. proposal tabled, and local coffee prices at F Krotz unchanged.
Friday evening residents learned Fred Harmening, a well known Defiance citizen, was found dead on his farm four miles southwest. He had left home Monday to work, was seen at the farm, then disappeared until his body was found in a ditch likely from an apoplectic spasm. Coroner Dr. Aldrich suspects suffocation. Funeral at St. Paul's Lutheran conducted by Rev. J. Deindorfer drew a large crowd praising his temperate, industrious life.

Miss Mollie Wisler of Defiance visited Brunersburg friends last Sunday. Dr. Bennett of Evansport visited friends in the burg Saturday and Sunday. Isadore Rath and family of Tiffin township are Brunersburg residents. A showman passed through this.
H K Morris spent last Sunday in Dupont. Eugene Anderson left for Columbus Grove for the winter. Henry Sanford moved from the Corners last Monday. Scott Brown of Putnam county visited his mother at the Corners over Sunday. Bethel school opened last Monday with Misses Maggie Ice and Ella Evans as teachers. J H McCague spends the week in Paulding on business. C B Anderson and wife welcome a ten pound baby girl. Paulding County Home Missionary Society held their second quarterly meeting at Bethel church Tuesday last. It is hoped they will do something for the mossbacks yet Uncle ROLty.

Oyster supper at John Brecbill’s proves socially and financially successful. District Steward’s meeting called with J Adams. John Smith trips to Hoagland Indiana. J H Miller travels to Camden Michigan to visit parents. Georgie Boutell heads to Lima for a couple weeks. Harper family called to Paulding for funeral of Mr. Harper’s father.

Hicksville area transfers include Bunnell roofed with slate, Omiston selling to Zenus Stone, Farnsworth and others heading to Wisconsin. Coulter seeks judgeship as vacancy nears. F N Harten and son head to Valparaiso for study.
Edgerton guests stayed with Mrs S A Scott last Sunday while Mrs F's mother was mentioned. Mrs Fyke, Mrs Wycoff, and Mr F Cover are reported on the sick list as street crossings have been repaired and are now in fine shape. Nora Bene.
