The Express Newspaper and Job Printing Office announces its relocation to the second floor of Potters and Tittle building opposite the Russell House. Readers are invited to visit and view the new premises.
Local notes report Viers & Hilton ready for business with a life size display next week and Lillian Chase performing at Myers opera house tomorrow. The Express moves to half size this week due to moving, with scarce items and busy deadlines.
The new grocery house of Viers and Hilton is open and ready for business with a fresh stock of family necessaries. Prices are low for cash. Located in the new block opposite the Russell House, customers are invited to call and see them.
Defiance awaits the Great Barnum and London Show with eight acres of tents, 160 agents, and a vast display including Jumbo, giraffes, camels, elephants, and 600 performers. Advertising cars already announce the date. Also notes local obituaries, a missing boy, mill moves, Sabbath school report, and town notices.
A weekly update from Noble Township mentions a regular freeze each week, W. P. Sanford riding a new two seated buggy, Sabbath school at Rural Chapel next Sunday at 9, potatoes frosted by Sunday morning, and widespread corn planting. It notes Geo Lehman’s barn carpentry by Mr. McQueen, possible upcoming local wedding, Geo Hilton remodeling with new shutters, Isaac Corwin building a residence between Defiance and Brunersburg, Sanford’s cow producing 33 pounds of milk on the 14th, and J A Sheffield erecting a front fence.

At the last Bishop Post meeting a vote of thanks was given to citizens who assisted in presenting the Drum mer Boy. The audience praised Miss Lillian Chase for Shakespearean recitals and dramatic selections, deeming her a peer of any reader now before the public.
The well known grocery house of T R Carroll will open again next Saturday morning under Carroll & Co. Carroll will head the establishment as manager and invites all former customers to call and see him. An advertisement will appear next week.
Decoration Day services will honor dead soldiers at either Fort grounds or Rural cemetery with the date undecided. Rev P M Kinkead to deliver the oration. Memorial sermons are requested for May 27 by ministers of all denominations. Forsyth Post G A R of Toledo offers complimentary carnival tickets for May 21–26 at Wheeler Opera House. Round trip tickets Defiance to Toledo available for $2 with travel May 21–22 only.

C S Wellman music shop on Second street offers pianos and American organs on easy terms. Krorz and Morsk advertise choice bananas of the day with brief price cue.
A large invoice of new music goods including violins and guitar strings arrived at C. S. VernMan's new Music Store on Second Street east of the post office. Krorz & Morsz advertise new lettuce and peas. A good driving horse with harness and buggy is for sale via contact at 18 Epp. A. Strona, 14 Jefferson Street. J. M. & M. Ryder Grocers at Fifth and Wayne report weekly receipt of green vegetables, including peas radishes lettuce cucumbers tomatoes onions, until further notice.
