Edward Shepherd of Harrisburg Illinois credits Electric Bitters for curing a eight year running sore on his leg. Doctors warned amputation after bone scraping but three bottles of Electric Bitters and seven boxes Bucklen Arnica Salve healed his leg. Colby and Scott sell Electric Bitters at 50 cents a bottle and Bucklen Arnica Salve per box.
X mas season feature announces the largest display of holiday goods at G W Bechel s in Defiance with low prices and first class stock. Mrs Mary Hyde visits Fostoria. Edward Otis Sr attends Bryan court. spelling and writing schools noted. several local social and family events listed including a 65th birthday surprise for Mrs Henry Moneysmith.
Mercury in catarrh ointments can destroy smell and upset the system. Hall's Catarrh Cure from F J Cheney & Co Toledo has no mercury and is taken internally to act on blood and mucus surfaces. Sold by druggists at 75 cents per bottle.
An advertisement claims Dr Haines Golden Specific can cure drunkenness by adding to coffee or tea without the drinker’s knowledge. It asserts permanent, speedy results for moderate drinkers or alcoholics and urges readers to contact Golden Specific Co. in Cincinnati for details.
Advertises Tuttle Bros grocery store next to the post office offering best goods at the least money and inviting customers to call on them for purchases.
